Glenn and Deanna

After shooting Mike and Michelle's wedding Mike referred me to Glenn. Glenn and Mike are both part of the US Military. I met with Glenn and Deanna at a Starbucks down about halfway between our homes. I was of course nervous about this meeting as well because I had never interviewed to be a wedding photographer...in fact wedding photography was the one thing I always said I'd never do! Too much pressure and stress, but I felt like I should be doing it. After talking to Deanna on the phone we agreed on a location. They live about an hour away so it would be a little to far for me to drive just to show my portfolio. (a portfolio that I put together the night before...way to procrastinate!) After talking for a short period of time we agreed on a price and I was informed of their wedding date. We also arranged time to go out and take some engagement photos. (one example seen above)

A few weeks after our first meeting we met again at Nantasket beach in Hull to take a few engagement shots. Trying to pose them was more difficult than I imagined. I wanted it to seem like I knew exactly what I was doing, but I'm not sure it came across that way! Either way we walked up and down the Hull forts and beach line and I was able to get some beautiful pictures of them. We went over a few wedding details as well. (i.e. location, times, hotels, etc.) It was a very productive day, and it gave me that little ounce of confidence I needed to get ready for what will come at me next.
