Ok, I know I've been horrible about updating this blog! I've been focusing on getting all my work in order and trying to join in on the holiday rush! Thank God all of that is over now!
Since September I've been keeping busy trying to buy all the equipment I'll need to start. And I've been shooting a little. In the beginning of September I shot Mike and Michelle's wedding. That was my first major shoot that really surprised me. I was extremely nervous. I had barely been shooting and now I'm taking on a wedding by myself...talk about jumping into something! Mike and Michelle were amazing to shoot. They understood it was my first wedding and were really good at putting my mind at ease. It got a little crazy and I really didn't get all the group shots I wanted, but overall it went better than I expected. I have put a few photos on my website. http://www.photolawphotography.com/.
Since that wedding I have had a few referals and now I'm booked for 5 more weddings this year! So excited! I will be going back to college next month as well. Since I am going to be shooting so many weddings this year one of my courses will be all about the business side of the wedding photography. My other course will just focus on digital photography. I'm hoping I can keep everyone up to date on those courses once they start! Ok I should get back to work, but since this is a photo blog I hope you enjoy the photograph I took for our family Christmas card!
